I was tired, but I had already committed to baking 3 loafs of beer bread as well as 6 pumpkin rolls. I had no choice but to follow through with my commitments. Thankfully the beer bread was a simple 6 ingredient recipe so it didn’t take me too long to prepare the dough to then get the loaves into the oven to bake for an hour. As for the pumpkin rolls, those are a little more tedious but I’ve made them plenty of times before so it’s not very difficult for me. 3 cups flour (sifted)
3 teaspoons baking powder (omit if using Self-Rising Flour)
1 teaspoon salt (omit if using Self-Rising Flour)
1⁄4 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) can beer
1⁄2 cup melted butter (1/4 cup will do just fine)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix dry ingredients and beer.
- Pour into a greased loaf pan.
- Pour melted butter over mixture.
- Bake 1 hour, remove from pan and cool for at least 15 minutes.
